ה Urban Cage הוא חומר למחשבה.
בחיים העירוניים המודרנים אין אחד אחד שהטכנולוגיה לא מלווה אותו על תצורתיה השונות במהלך כל היום והיכן שנמצא. אנשים מצפים ומשווים לאינטראקציה קרובה עם חברים, משפחה, עמיתים ומכרים דרך האינטרנט או הסלולר, אך למעשה הנוחות של הטכנולוגיה היא זו שמרחיקה וגורמת לנו להיות מבודדים יותר ומנטלת את הכנות והאוטנתיות שבמפגש אנושי ואינטרקציות בין בני האדם.
האורבן-קייג’ הוא מטפורה לתופעה של שימוש יתר בטכנולוגיה (טלפונים חכמים, מחשבים ניידים, אייפדים וכו’) כחלק בלתי נפרד מהתרבות ומנסה להשוות את התופעה לכליאה של ציפורים כחלק ממראה חברתית וסמל סטטוס, רק שבמקרה הזה מי שכלוא הוא אנחנו.
האורבן קייג’ עוצב ב-3 מידות שונות, לשלושת המכשירים הנפוצים בחיינו: הטלפון הסלולרי, הטאבלט והמחשב הנייד – אם כבר בכלוב אז שיהיה נוח .

The Urban Cage is Food for Thought.
In our urban-modern life there is no one who technology is not a major part of his life by one of the various configurations throughout the day and wherever we head to. People expect to interact with friends, family , colleagues and acquaintances through the Internet or cellular, but in fact the convenience of this technology is makes us more isolated.
UrbanCage is a metaphor for the phenomenon of excessive use of technology (smartphones, laptops, iPads , etc.) as an integral part of the culture and trying to compare the phenomenon to incarceration sight of birds as part of social and status symbol, only to show us that in that case we are the one caged in.
UrbanCage is designed in 3 different sizes and shapes for the three common devices in our lives : mobile phone , tablet and laptop .
